How are you?
As Governor Walz announced last night, small retail shops can reopen on Monday May 18th at “reduced capacity”. I have decided to do so but very cautiously. Yes, customers may come into the store to shop but with the following limitations/precautions:
  1. Continue with reduced store open hours: Monday through  – Saturday 10 am to 2 pm. Closed Sunday.
  2. No walk-in crafts or birthday parties for now.
  3. Our tree house will be closed and our play toys will be put away.
  4. Our bathroom won’t be available for now (except in cases of “emergency”), as we reduce the number of areas that need will disinfection throughout the day.
  5. All customers entering the shop will be required to wash their hands before shopping.
  6. We will be social distancing, maintaining six feet between people, both shoppers and staff.
  7. Sales will be by credit card only; our payment terminals will be sanitized and touch-less payment methods available.
  8. Curbside pickup and delivery to homes nearby are still available if you prefer not to shop in person.
  9. Please stay home if you or any of your family are feeling sick.
We will continue with our Craft at Home Menu. If you wish to purchase any of our Kits on Demand projects, give us a call ahead of time at 612-877-8090 if you can so we can pull the materials together without you having to wait. Fairy Gardens will be coming soon!

A brief business update: I was gratified to receive money recently from the PPP program, which has allowed me to pay my staff to stay home and also pay some rent to my landlord. I also received a grant from the EIDL (Emergency Injury Disaster Loan) program. I applied ages ago; money just appeared in my account last week without notice. It’s enough for a couple more months of rent; my landlord has been so kind and reasonable about flexible rent payments, he is amazing!

I look forward to seeing you soon, safely!
