I haven’t sent an email in awhile–it didn’t seem appropriate, nor was I in the mood while the election that would decide the future of our country was pending.
We are having work done at our house: solar panels, new roof, new siding, new windows. The old windows of our house (built in 1925) were so bad we could only open a couple of them. Today there is a wind advisory; my husband opened most of our new windows and the gusts are bringing in a sense of cleansing vigor. Indeed, papers are being blown around and small objects are falling to the floor but we don’t care–it’s glorious! Colder weather will return this week but for now, we are feeling renewed.
Shoppers and folks walking by are happy we are still here. The business has become much smaller, with sales 35-50% of pre-Covid times, depending on the month. I have less staff too, just Laura, Kate, and August. I’m so grateful to have received several grants and a government loan that are allowing Heartfelt to keep going for now. I am taking things a week at a time, reacting/pivoting as developments require.
Thank you for your continued support of Heartfelt–we are still here!
