Summer is upon us–indeed, today is the longest of the year. Our camps started this week. In ten days, I leave for my annual summer vacation trip to Colorado with my husband Greg and our dogs Zorro and Comet. We go way up in the mountains in our Jeep, using old mining roads–lots of great scrounging of natural materials there!
Tonight there is a special event in Linden Hills–the inaugural Wine and Stroll, an evening of special offers and activities at 43rd and Upton. The businesses will offer wine or other beverages in tasting portions. At Heartfelt, come try your hand at needle felting, paint a rock for our Kindness Garden, snack on fresh popcorn from our new popcorn cart–it’s sure to be a fun evening for adults. From 5 to 9 pm, Thursday June 21st.
Pioneer Camp is next week, for children entering second grade and older. We will make butter, dip candles, weave on small looms, and more, all while learning about the lives of pioneers.. For children who love the Little House books, this camp experience will be heaven!
